AWEA Wind Project Performance & Reliability Workshop

Optimize Wind Project Performance & Profitability

January 12 – 13, 2011 > San Diego, CA

By 2011, nearly $40 billion worth of operating wind projects in the U.S. will be out of their warranty period, shifting the financial risk onto the owner to implement cost-effective operations and maintenance activities. And in the next 20 years, the U.S. will require more than 100,000 additional wind turbines to supply 20% of the nation’s electricity. Operations and maintenance will be a growing challenge for owners and the industry as a whole.

At this unique industry workshop, join industry experts and wind energy company peers who are developing, documenting, and sharing best practices and lessons-learned for operating wind projects profitably, and at peak productivity, for decades to come. This workshop will highlight O&M practices and the latest in industry trends – featuring an unmatched line-up of speakers and companies at the forefront of these issues

An additional half-day of sessions has been added to this year's program for a more extensive learning experience.

Session topics will include:

  • Trends and Evolution in Wind Project Operations
  • European Perspectives on Wind Project Operations
  • Keys to Successful Wind Project Operations
  • Component and System Maintenance: Sharing Best Practices
  • Latest Developments in Vibration and Condition Monitoring
